EPS communications department recognized for excellence

National School Public Relations Association logo The National School Public Relations Association (NSPRA) has presented Edina Public Schools’ communications department with eight awards, recognizing outstanding work in five categories of publication and electronic media communications. The awards were announced at NSPRA’s national seminar in San Antonio, Texas, in early July.

Members of the district communications department are: Susan Brott, director; Mary Woitte, manager; Jamieson Copeland, communications/digital media specialist; and Wes Drey, communications specialist.

NSPRA provides school communication training and services to education leaders throughout the U.S., Canada and U.S. dependent schools worldwide. Its mission is to “advance education through responsible communication.” NSPRA received 948 entries from school districts across the country for this year’s Publications and Electronic Media Awards. The following awards were presented to EPS communications:
