Boys Impressive With First Win; Girls Finish 3rd

1/18/18:   The boys team earned their first win of the season in impressive fashion placing 5 skiers in the top 10; all 7 point earners were in the top 16.  This was a great way to close out their final tune-up of the season before conference championship races begin next week.  Carl Berghult, Soren Lindquist, and Chris Reichling finished 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, respectively.  Rounding out our top 10 were Rémi Arnaud in 7th and Tanner Hopkins in 10th.

The girls team ran into some consistency issues with the top portion of the run order this week but, due to strong skiing later in the order, still managed a third place finish behind hard charging Eden Prairie and Orono.  Caroline Sprenkle’s 12th place finish was the tops for the Hornets on the day.  Sophie Shuster finished 13th, Anna Busyn was 15th, and Julian Moran rounded out top 20 finishers with 20th place.

Teams from Eden Prairie, Orono, Wayzata, Prior Lake, and Apple Valley/Rosemount also competed in this race.

Conference championship races begin next week.
