JV Team Off to a Strong Start in Frigid Temps

1/5/18:   JV skiers got their season off to a strong start on a frigid Friday night at Hyland.

The boys team finished 1st led by Cal Christianson's 1st place finish.  Sam Greene, Cooper Nasiedlak, and Andrew Baumgardner all had top 10 finishes for the Hornets.

On the girls side, Edina and Minnetonka traded blows to fill out the top 10 but Minnetonka edged out the Hornets.  Leading the way for Edina was Holly Brinkman with a 2nd place overall finish.  Lydia Kruse also lit the afterburners, finishing 3rd.  Sally Carlson and Mathilde Hardy rounded out top 10 finishes for the girls.

Our JV competitors were strong with several skiers getting their first high school race, and even their first ever race, under their belt!  Congratulations to Ryan Koo, Sam Greene, Cooper Nasiedlak, Charlie Kleyhans, Henry Drew, Thomas Sebek, Andrew Baumgardner, Mathilde Hardy, Lydia Kruse, and Lily Vucenich!

In addition to Edina, teams from Minnetonka, Eden Prairie, Wayzata, Hopkins, Orono, and Benilde-St. Margaret competed in this race.

Thanks to all the volunteers, parents and fans that again braved sub-zero temps to come out and cheer on the team.  We really have the best fans EVER!
