Summer is coming, kids!
Edina Community Education has you covered.
Dive into Edina Community Education’s new aquatics program and choose from weekly camps for kids, lap swimming for adults, parent/child lessons, plus affordable private/semi private lessons. Classes range from age one to adult.
“A really exciting new program offered this summer is Junior Lifeguard Camp for kids ten and older,” says Lori Murphy, youth coordinator. “It’s an interactive and fun class designed to prepare students for the American Red Cross lifeguarding course.”

Looking for other unique camps to pique your child’s interest?
Get your hands dirty with the Summer Garden Club at Concord. Taught by district staff Jeremy Ostman, and Hennepin County Master Gardeners, this camp teaches the art of gardening through planting, maintaining and harvesting food.
Keep your minds active at one or more summer camps offered at Concord Elementary this summer. Choose from Camp Invention (grades K-8), led by district staff that includes hands-on experiences using science, technology, engineering and mathematics (STEM) or Young Hacks (grades 5-9), a camp that focuses on STEM and leadership skills preparing kids for beyond the classroom.
Another exciting opportunity is one of the writing camps, such as Creative Writing (grades 4-8), Writing College Essays (grades 10-12) or Writing Magic-Young Authors (Grades 2-5). Led by district staff, these classes are designed to spark creativity and fine-tune writing skills with a focus on peer-to-peer and teacher support.
