The Edina Community Center (ECC) has a new community kitchen! “We’re so thrilled to have a community teaching kitchen where we will be offering new and exciting cooking classes this holiday season,” said Donna Comer, Community Education Program Supervisor. “We are also excited to welcome some new instructors to help us launch the new space.”
On Thursday, December 7th Tonja Engen will take over the new kitchen. An Edina community member, Tonja loves sharing her passion for cooking. Tonja started her own food and recipe blog in 2011 as a way to share her recipes with friends and family. While writing for a popular parenting website, she started her own catering business, and she’s also written a cookbook. Join Tonja for Holiday Entertaining-Made Easy! (click here). Alliance Francaise will be coming to ECC to teach a combined baking and French class on Saturday, December 9th. Participants can come make French desserts while also dusting off French language skills. French Holiday Desserts (click here) is for adult students who have basic French speaking experience. If you’re looking for a way to celebrate the holidays with your teen, French-speaking children ages 14 years and older are welcome to join this class.
