Community Candidate Forum for Director of Teaching and Learning May 26

May 21, 2020 - You are invited to participate in a virtual Community Candidate Forum for the next Director of Teaching and Learning of Edina Public Schools on Tuesday, May 26. Due to social distancing guidelines, the three final candidates will present introductory statements and answer submitted questions via live-streaming on YouTube. The first candidate will appear at 5:30 p.m.; the second candidate at 6:15 p.m.; the third candidate at 7 p.m.

The three final candidates are: Jodi De St. Hubert, Principal, Alice Smith Elementary, Hopkins Public Schools; Angela Freese, nationally recognized assessment, grading and school improvement specialist; and Dana Kauzlarich-Miller, Principal, Pioneer Ridge Middle School, Eastern Carver County Schools. During the public forum, the candidates will be asked the same set of questions by EPS Assistant Superintendent Bryan Bass. The candidates will also meet virtually with district principals and administrators the same evening.

You may submit questions for the candidates by emailing, subject line: Candidate Forums. We will sort and combine questions looking for similarities and broad themes, and allowing for a 30-minute time period for each candidate. Questions must be submitted by 9 a.m. Tuesday, May 26.

Viewers of the Community Forum will be able to offer feedback by completing an online form, available  for a limited time at the conclusion of each candidate’s session.
