Ed Fund Cake-Off Fundraiser Oct. 4

Cake decorated as school locker and books Sept. 30, 2019 - The Edina Education Fund will host their annual Cake-Off event on Friday, Oct. 4, at St. Patrick's Church in Edina. The largest fundraiser for Edina Public Schools (EPS), the Ed Fund's goal is to enhance opportunities for all students by working in partnership with Edina educators to sponsor innovative projects in diverse areas, including STEAM, mental health and wellness, literacy, and professional development. Celebrating 25 years of support for EPS, the Edina Education Fund has raised approximately $3 million to support educational initiatives.

Cake-Off participants bid on beautifully decorated cakes donated by local bakeries for the honor of representing the best in Edina. New this year, the Cake-Off competition is now open to home baking enthusiasts for a chance to win acclaim for excellence in baking.

There are two morning sessions available to accommodate different schedules. Attendees may stop in for coffee and inspiration to start the day at the Cake-Off Coffee from 7:30-8:30 a.m., or choose the main event at the Cake-Off Brunch from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. The Cake-Off Brunch will feature live auctions for all amateur and professional entries and special guest Meadow Roberts, Valley View Middle School student and finalist in Food Network's Kids Baking Championship

Community members are welcome to register to attend the Cake-Off Fundraiser by visiting the Edina Education Fund's website.
