  • Edina sophomore wins Federal Reserve Student Essay Contest

    May 21, 2019 - Edina High School sophomore Ryan Zhu won the 2019 Federal Reserve Student Essay Contest. For the past 31 years, the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis has hosted an annual Student Essay Contest open to all high school students that live within the Ninth Federal Reserve District. This year’s prompt was: “Use economics to describe and defend an effective immigration policy.”

  • Students arrive for first exchange with South Korean school

    May 17, 2019 – Edina High School (EHS) students, their families, and administrators welcomed 18 students from Andong Schools in South Korea last Saturday. These students will be experiencing Edina life with their host families and students for two weeks, and next fall, the Edina students who hosted the South Korean students will travel to Andong, staying with their brother/sister families and attending school there.

  • Rose Rees Peace award presented to Edina High School senior

    May 15, 2019 - Edina High School (EHS) senior Andrea Richardson received the 2019 Rose Rees Peace Award from the National Council of Jewish Women – Minnesota (NCJW) at a ceremony on May 1. Given to 25 students from local high schools each year, the award honors “exceptional high school seniors who have demonstrated a commitment to service, advocacy, community and peace.”

    May 7, 2019 – Each year, Edina Public Schools (EPS) loads up a bus full of readers, grades 6-12, and takes them to a local literature event: Teen Lit Con.     Edina High School’s robotics team, The Green Machine, received the highest award in competition at the FIRST Detroit World Championship on April 17. The Chairman’s Award is the most prestigious award, recognizing the team that best exemplifies FIRST Robotics’ mission to promote STEM fields of study: science, technology, engineering and math.

  • EHS staff participate in Marine Corps professional development

    April 17, 2019 - Earlier this year, two Edina High School teachers participated in a unique professional development opportunity. Claude Sigmund, social studies, and Sara Swenson, media specialist, attended the Marine Corps Educators Workshop at Camp Pendleton in California. They were invited by EHS alumni Sgt. Indiana Bloom.
