  • School Board candidate information session July 24

    July 16, 2019 - Persons interested in being a candidate for the 2019 School Board election should plan to attend an informational meeting on Wednesday, July 24, 7 to 8:30 p.m., in the Edina Community Center, Room 349. Superintendent John Schultz and several School Board members will talk about the responsibilities and work of the Board, and answer questions from those considering becoming a candidate.

  • Walser Foundation supports Meal Fund

    June 27, 2019 - The Edina Meal Fund has received a $1,000 grant from the Walser Automotive Group Foundation. This is the first corporate grant for the Meal Fund, a program created to ease the burden of school meal debt for families in a time of financial crisis.

  • EHS senior selected as Triple Threat finalist

    June 5, 2019 – Edina High School (EHS) senior, Ella Dolynchuk, was recently named a 2019 Triple Threat finalist. Dolynchuk is among 26 finalists who have demonstrated exemplary performances in singing, dancing, acting, and leadership.

  • EHS grads recognized for bilingual language proficiency

    June 4, 2019 – About one-third of the Edina High School (EHS) Class of 2019 will receive recognition for bilingual language proficiency with their diploma. This year, 213 seniors will be awarded a Bilingual or Multilingual Certificate or Seal for their achievement in Chinese, French, Latin or Spanish.

  • Edina sophomore wins Federal Reserve Student Essay Contest

    May 21, 2019 - Edina High School sophomore Ryan Zhu won the 2019 Federal Reserve Student Essay Contest. For the past 31 years, the Federal Reserve Bank of Minneapolis has hosted an annual Student Essay Contest open to all high school students that live within the Ninth Federal Reserve District. This year’s prompt was: “Use economics to describe and defend an effective immigration policy.”

  • Students arrive for first exchange with South Korean school

    May 17, 2019 – Edina High School (EHS) students, their families, and administrators welcomed 18 students from Andong Schools in South Korea last Saturday. These students will be experiencing Edina life with their host families and students for two weeks, and next fall, the Edina students who hosted the South Korean students will travel to Andong, staying with their brother/sister families and attending school there.

  • Rose Rees Peace award presented to Edina High School senior

    May 15, 2019 - Edina High School (EHS) senior Andrea Richardson received the 2019 Rose Rees Peace Award from the National Council of Jewish Women – Minnesota (NCJW) at a ceremony on May 1. Given to 25 students from local high schools each year, the award honors “exceptional high school seniors who have demonstrated a commitment to service, advocacy, community and peace.”

  • Edina students engage in the reading community at Teen Lit Con

    May 7, 2019 – Each year, Edina Public Schools (EPS) loads up a bus full of readers, grades 6-12, and takes them to a local literature event: Teen Lit Con. Authors, books, teens and fun collided in this all day event that includes author meetings, breakout sessions, writer workshops, and book signings.
