    Paycheck Information

    Access is available through the Employee Access Center, which can be access through the Portal or directly to EAC. Both active and terminated employees are able to access EAC.

    Your username is your employee number and your password is the last four digits of your SSN. You are encouraged to change your password. You can also review and update your tax withholding information (W-4 elections).

    Pay Dates

    Period ending dates are the 15th and the last day of the month.
    Paydays are the 15th and the 30th of the month. If those dates fall on a weekend or holiday, payday will be the first prior business day.
    Timesheets are submitted twice a month immediately following the period ending date. The pay periods are:
    • 1st - 15th of the month, submitted on the 15th and paid on the 30th
    • 16th - end of the month, submitted the last day of the month and paid on the 15th of the next month.
     Within two working days after period ending date supervisors need to do the following:
    • Timesheets need to be submitted to Payroll 
    • myTime needs to be approved 
    • Substitute jobs need to be verified 

    Direct Deposit

    Direct Deposit of your payroll payment is mandatory for all Edina Public School employees. You will need a checking or savings account at a bank, a savings and loan institution, or a credit union.
    All Edina Public School employees are eligible to open an account with West Metro Schools Credit Union. The credit union is located in the Community Center building at 5701 Normandale Rd, Suite 333. Their hours are Monday through Friday, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. The telephone number is 952-848-4282.
    If you do not submit the Direct Deposit form at least 10 days before the next pay day, an account will be set up for you at the West Metro Schools Credit Union.

    All Direct Deposit changes need to happen within the Employee Access Center (EAC).  Log into your personal account. Click on Deductions and Benefits on the left side. Click on Add New Direct Deposit Deduction.

    Tax Information

    Social Security/Medicare Wage Base Rates

    The Social Security taxable wage base will increase to $142,800 in 2021. The Social Security tax rate is 6.20%.  The Medicare tax rate of 1.45% applies to all wages.

    Tax Forms

    To order forms or publications, access their website at www.IRS.gov. to download the document, or call the IRS at 1-800-829-3676. Individuals may also check the status of their current year tax refund online or at 1-800-829-1954.

    If your filing status, exemption allowances or exempt status has changed, a new W-4 should be filed. For questions about federal income taxes or withholding, or social security tax, call the IRS help-line at 1-800-829-1040.  If you have questions about Minnesota income taxes or withholding, call MN taxpayer assistance at 651-296-3781.  The Minnesota Department of Revenue website is http://www.taxes.state.mn.us.  For changes, download Form W-4 or Form W-4MN from Staff Handbook.

    Mileage Allowance/Expenses

    The IRS has decreased the mileage allowance to 56.0 cents per mile, effective January 1, 2021. Submit the Employee Expense Report, available from Staff Handbook, to claim reimbursement for mileage and/or expenses you have paid on behalf of the district. See District Policy 3330 for details.
