Cornwell - Spanish
Hello and welcome!
My name is Elizabeth Cornwell.
I'd like to introduce myself and tell you a bit about what I do in the Edina Public Schools!
Courses I teach:
- Spanish - 9th grade
- AVID - coordinator
- Please click here for information on academic support and scholarships
I grew up in Illinois and Minnesota. I attended Boston College where I majored in Spanish and secondary education. I then went on to Middlebury College in Madrid for my MA in Spanish. I love learning languages and have a strong interest in Spanish poetry!
Outside of school, I coach middle school cross country and the varsity lacrosse team. As you can see, I love sports!
I have been teaching Spanish in the Edina school district for 7 years. Last year, I was afforded the opportunity to work as the academic support specialist at the school. That means that I spend most of my time working with students, creating plans and collaborating with classroom teachers to ensure that they can reach their potential and have plenty of collegiate and job options after high school. I love doing this work and truly enjoy working in the Edina community.
