Countryside Elementary School is one of six elementary schools within the nationally recognized public school district of Edina, Minnesota. Countryside combines experience with vision to create an exciting environment for our K-5 students.
Countryside students exemplify Edina's standards of excellence. Whether sharing discoveries in the classroom, pursuing on-line adventure in our state-of-the-art computer lab, performing precision rope-jumping routines with the Countryside Jump-its, or exploring our playground, they are constantly learning...and growing...and loving it!
At Countryside, all staff are united in their commitment to the goals outlined in our Mission statement and to the well-being and success of each individual.
The mission of Countryside Elementary School, working cooperatively with the family and community, is to educate students to have the knowledge, skills, attitudes and ethical values necessary to develop their unique talents and abilities to become socially responsible, lifelong learners able to thrive in our changing, culturally diverse global society.
Countryside Pride is an initiative from the Site Council’s strategic plan to implement a school wide value program incorporating values from Responsive Classroom, Edina’s ICCCAR value model and Kids for Character. The purpose is to create a common language of values for the entire school community to adopt. It is an effort to get Countryside students, and all of us, to learn the importance of these values in our day to day lives.
