Valley View 8th grader wins criminal justice reform competition
Mar. 2, 2021 - Devarsh Borah, an eighth grader at Valley View Middle School (VVMS), took first place in the middle school division with his video submission for the Minnesota Urban Debate League and Star Tribune-sponsored essay/video competition on criminal justice reform.

Board approves May 11 vote on tech levy and bond issue
Feb. 17, 2021 - At a special meeting on Feb. 16, the Edina School Board approved ballot language and the date for a 2021 technology levy and bond issue. On May 11, voters will be asked to consider a 10-year, $7M technology levy to replace the current expiring levy, along with a $7M bond issue for expansion of bus garage facilities and traffic control improvements at two schools.

New technology improves safety, reliability of AEDs
Feb. 17, 2021 - Buildings throughout the district will receive an upgrade of their automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to new, tech-savvy models that will increase dependability.

Edina Latin students place at state Latin competition
Feb. 11, 2021 – Twenty-one Edina Latin students participated in the annual Ludi Romani State Latin Competition on January 16 . The students represented Valley View Middle School and Edina High School.

Feb. 10, 2021 - Edina Public Schools is pleased to announce that all 25 National Merit Semifinalists announced in September 2020 have advanced to finalist standing.

Superintendent Schultz announces retirement
Feb. 5, 2021 - Superintendent Dr. John Schultz has announced his intent to retire at the end of the 2020-21 school year. Schultz joined Edina in July 2017. His retirement concludes a 35-year career in K-12 education.
