Six people who live or work in Edina will share their personal stories and insights into the Vietnam War Thursday, Nov. 9, 6:30-8:30 p.m. at the Edinborough Park Amphitheater. “Edina Remembers the Vietnam War” will be an evening of conversation, stories and moderated panel discussion with individuals who served in the military, grew up in Vietnam, protested the war or taught U.S. history.
Chef Robert Velarde, the culinary expert at Concord Elementary School, created an award-winning meal at the 3rd Annual St. Paul Farmers Market Competition last month. Velarde was awarded a Bronze Medal from a field of about 25 competitors at the event, which was sponsored by the American Culinary Federation, and is a Worldchefs-sanctioned competition.
Oct. 12, 2017 - The Minnesota String and Orchestra Teachers Association (MNSOTA) has recognized Edina Public Schools’ (EPS) orchestra program with the 2017 Meritorious Orchestra Program Award. The award honors a school or program that has “made significant contributions to string education in the state.”
