In high school, Mr. Stein was a three sport athlete on the football, basketball and baseball teams. He went on to play baseball at the University of Minnesota. He taught Math at South View Middle School, Edina High School & Chaska High School (CHS). In 2008, Mr. Stein held a similar position at CHS overseeing all high school activities, athletics and fine arts programs. Mr. Stein has coached at the youth, high school and college levels over the years.
Mr. Stein earned a bachelor’s degree in mathematics and a master’s degree in math education from the University of Minnesota. He also holds an administrative education specialist degree from the University of St. Thomas.
Troy and his wife, Debbie, have four children: Noelle (born 2008), Tessa (2010), Penelope (2013), and Sawyer (2016).
He has experience coaching high school football, basketball, and baseball as well as working at Holy Family Catholic High School and in an administrative role at Minnetonka High School since graduating from the University of Minnesota with a bachelor’s degree in History in 2004. In addition to his Activity Office responsibilities, Joe has also been the Head Boys’ Basketball Coach at Edina since 2013.
He and his wife, Lindsay, have two daughters: Claire (born in 2010) and Lauren (2012).
Kelsey comes to us with an extensive athletic and educational background. She was awarded Ms. Soccer Minnesota and went on to play Division I soccer at Northwestern University, where she still holds the records for goals in a career and goals in a season. After Northwestern, Kelsey went on to earn her Master of Science degree in Conservation Biology from the University of Michigan. She has worked for the federal and state government managing multi-agency projects. Kelsey has been an Assistant Girls' Soccer coach at Edina since 2011.
