Two EPS teachers nominated for MN Teacher of the Year
Two Edina Public Schools teachers were nominated for the 2023 Minnesota Teacher of the Year program:
- Giovanna Margalli, Grade 4 teacher at Cornelia Elementary
- Emily Waage, ADSIS teacher at Highlands Elementary
Education Minnesota organizes the Minnesota Teacher of the Year program. It is the state's oldest and most prestigious recognition program to honor excellence in education.
A panel of Minnesota leaders in education, business, government and philanthropy will review the nominations and select semifinalists over the coming weeks. The panel will reconvene and narrow the group down to finalists, with the winner being announced at the Minnesota Teacher of the Year banquet on May 7.
