SV student poems published in anthology

Six South View Middle School eighth graders will have their poems published in the 43rd Annual COMPAS Anthology of Student Writing.

The work included in the COMPAS Anthology represents the inspired collaboration between over 15 COMPAS Teaching Writers, hundreds of classroom teachers, and thousands of students across Minnesota. These South View students’ poems were selected from over 4,000 written submissions, based on their high literary value, exceptional creativity, and unique perspective. The book will be published in November and each published student will receive a copy.

The students being published are:

  • Zeina Al-Ramahi, A Chance

  • Tenzin Dechen, Missing Pieces

  • Harrison Eyngorn, I Am More Than What They See

  • Daniel Fenske, Youngest Brother

  • Emily Huggett, The Sky

  • Nancy Vega, Untitled
