South View wins statewide Special Olympics Challenge

South View Middle School’s Unified student group won Special Olympics Inclusive Week Challenge. SVMS competed against 28 teams, many of which were high school groups. Their team completed 263 inclusive missions last week, some of which included: spreading kindness, designing and completing a flash mob, attending events outside of school together, and further sharing the message of inclusion across the building.

A giant thank you to Jennie Schaefer and Rachel Knaeble who put in an enormous amount of time and energy to organize, communicate, and encourage Team South View. 263 missions is an incredible commitment and accomplishment. Congratulations on the effort and the win!
