MOSAIC groups seek submissions for Story Slam event

You are invited to share your story at the Edina Story Slam, April 1 presented by the EHS student and parent MOSAIC groups. Story submissions are being accepted now through Feb. 23.

Our journeys bring experiences of joy, pain, wonder, fear, and redemption. They make us who we are, transform us, and teach us. The sharing of your story — your journey in this life — is a gift. Our schools are communities of amazing people, from many places, many walks of life and with many stories to tell.

The theme for the story slam is Belonging. We are asking for stories which exemplify what the word Belonging means to you. Stories should be 5-7 minutes long. Storytellers should be connected to Edina schools as students, parents, grandparents, staff or alumni.

If you would like to tell your story about Belonging at the Story Slam, please complete the story submission form and provide information about yourself and your story. A panel of students and parents from Edina Mosaic will select the storytellers who will tell their story on stage at the Story Slam. If you wish to tell your story in a language other than English, please indicate that in the application so that interpreters are available. Story submission deadline is Sunday, Feb. 23.

The Story Slam will be Wednesday, April 1, 6-7:30 p.m., at EHS Fick Auditorium. It is free and refreshments will be provided. We are excited for you to share this night as a storyteller or listener. If you have questions, please contact Mike Pretasky, EHS Assistant Principal.
