EHS Thespians production wins honors

The EHS Thespians received numerous ensemble and individual honors for their spring production of “Chicago” from Spotlight Education, a program of the Hennepin Theatre Trust. Spotlight provides recognition, learning and performing experiences and advocacy for the importance of high school musical theater education.

The EHS troupe earned the following ensemble awards:

  • Outstanding - Overall Performance
  • Honorable Mention - Achievement in Music Theater, Overall Production
  • Outstanding - Ensemble Performance, Movement/Dance Performance, Costume Crew, Vocal Performance by an Ensemble, Overall Technical Team
  • Honorable Mention - Light & Sound Board Operators

The following individuals earned recognition:

  • Ella Dolynchuk - Outstanding Performance in a Leading Role
  • Alex Zykova - Outstanding Performance in a Leading Role
  • Brady Evans - Honorable Mention for Performance in a Leading Role
  • Katherine Lord – Outstanding in Technical Leadership
  • Erik Magnuson – Outstanding in Technical Leadership
  • Shane Kretz and Louisa Darr – Evaluator Shout-Outs

The EHS Thespians will perform “Chicago” again at the 2019 Spotlight Showcase on Tuesday, June 11.
