Amy began her career with Osseo Area Schools, where she served as an elementary teacher for ten years. She went on to serve as an instructional coach with Anoka-Hennepin Schools. During her time in this role, Amy was a semifinalist for the highly distinguished Minnesota Teacher of the Year award. She went on to serve as an assistant principal for Rum River Elementary School before moving into the principalship.

Dr. Reed completed her bachelor's degree in Elementary Education at the University of North Dakota. She earned her Master of Education from St. Mary’s University and her Doctor of Education in Leadership in K-12 Administration from Bethel University.

“Dr. Reed has exceptional leadership experience as a school principal that includes a depth of experience with the science of reading, which is a key focus in our district and state,” shared Superintendent Dr. Stacie Stanley.  “We are delighted for her to join Edina Public Schools and Creek Valley Elementary Community!”
