Community will gather for One Town, One Family conversation June 23

The Edina community is invited to gather for the next One Town, One Family community conversation on Thursday, June 23, 5-8 p.m. at the Normandale School Auditorium. Participants will begin to build upon the conversation begun at the initial April 14 event. All are invited to attend regardless of whether you were able to attend the first event.

One Town, One Family is a partnership of the City of Edina, the Edina Chamber of Commerce, the Edina Foundation and Edina Public Schools, creating a time and place for all Edina citizens who would like to help reimagine, define and create an inclusive Edina community.

At the last meeting, approximately 340 attendees engaged in conversation about current realities, issues and challenges in the community. At the June event, stakeholder input and visioning documents from the April 14 conversion will be used to develop a set of action steps to meet the vision for Edina to be the best community for all to live, visit and do business.

Families, students and citizens from all aspects of the community are encouraged to attend. Facilitators from the YMCA of the North UnitedHealth Group Equity Innovation Center of Excellence will guide the discussion.

The community conversation on June 23 will begin at 5 p.m. with some time for refreshments. Park in the Gold Lot on the south side of Normandale Elementary near the stadium, and enter Door 10, the main entrance to the school.
