55 DECA members head to State
The Edina High School DECA chapter will send 55 team members to the state conference following qualifying competition on Jan. 9. Students competed as teams and individuals in a wide variety of business-related categories. The state DECA Conference will be March 6-8.
Among the qualifiers are these students, who placed first: Anne Rewey and Kate Stechman, Buying & Merchandising; William Walkley, Sports & Entertainment Marketing; Ben Xie, Sales Demonstration; Alexander Schultze, Personal Finance Literacy. DECA clubs prepare emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management in high schools and colleges around the globe.
