10 EHS seniors are National Merit Semifinalists

Edina Public Schools is pleased to announce 10 EHS seniors have been named National Merit Semifinalists in the 2022 National Merit Scholarship Program. The program honors individual students who show exceptional academic ability and potential for success in rigorous college studies.

Students qualify for the program by taking the Preliminary SAT/National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test (PSAT/NMSQT) in their junior year. Approximately 16,000 students were selected as Semifinalists and will have the opportunity to continue in the competition for 7,500 National Merit Scholarships to be offered next spring. To be considered for a scholarship award, semifinalists must fulfill several requirements to advance to the Finalist level of the competition.
