Meet the Superintendent

Dr. Daniel Bittman, Edina’s 10th Superintendent

Dr. Daniel Bittman brings more than 30 years of experience as a nationally recognized educational leader to Edina Public Schools. He joined the district as interim superintendent in April 2025 and, in February 2026, was officially selected by the school board to serve as superintendent.

Dr. Bittman entered the role with strong, longstanding relationships in Edina and has partnered with district leaders on various initiatives over the last 20 years. Throughout his career, he was mentored by former Edina Public Schools leaders Ric Dressen and Ken Dragseth. Today, he continues their legacy of strong leadership, community partnership, and educational excellence.
