Edina State of the Community

The City of Edina’s annual State of the Community was held April 20 at Braemar Golf Course, bringing together community members and business leaders for an update on the city and school district. The event was emceed by City Manager Scott Neal and co-sponsored by the Rotary Club of Edina and the Edina Chamber of Commerce.

Mayor James B. Hovland shared updates on key city initiatives and priorities shaping Edina’s future, including redevelopment and park projects, public safety efforts, tree preservation and other important community investments. Superintendent Dr. Dan Bittman highlighted Edina Public Schools’ Areas of Focus and celebrated the many accomplishments of students and staff throughout the year.

Dr. Bittman also recognized outstanding programs and initiatives that reflect student leadership, innovation and inclusion across the district, including Edina Unified, Shark Tank, the Community Service Varsity Letter Program and many more examples of excellence happening across Edina Public Schools.
