2026 AP Results Highlight Record Participation, Achievement at Edina High School

Edina High School students continue to excel with Advanced Placement (AP) performance, with 2026 results reflecting both high levels of participation and exceptional achievement.

This year, 1,327 Edina students took 2,714 AP Exams, which is an increase of nearly 200 exams from 2025. Among those students, 95% earned at least one score of 3 or higher on an exam, the benchmark widely recognized by colleges and universities for potential college credit or placement in higher-level courses. These results continue an impressive five-year trend of growth in AP participation and success by Edina students. 

In addition to individual exam scores, many EHS students earned distinction through the College Board’s AP Scholar Awards, which recognize academic excellence across multiple exams.

• AP Scholar: Awarded to students who score 3 or higher on three or more AP Exams.
• AP Scholar with Honor: Granted to students who achieve an average score of at least 3.25 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on four or more of these exams.
• AP Scholar with Distinction: Awarded to students who receive an average score of at least 3.5 on all AP Exams taken, and scores of 3 or higher on five or more of these exams. 

“These remarkable AP results are a testament to the dedication and perseverance of our students, and are also a reflection of the exceptional educators who guide them,” said Edina Public Schools Superintendent Dr. Dan Bittman. “While these awards celebrate academic excellence and success in college-level coursework, they are really the culmination of years of learning built across our entire E–12 system. Our teachers, support staff, and school leaders have created a strong academic foundation that empowers Edina students to thrive in these advanced opportunities.”
