Our Commitments to Achievement Equity and Multilingual Learners

Under state and federal law, Edina Public Schools develops and makes public plans that support students connected to our Achievement Equity and Multilingual Learners programming. These plans reflect collaboration across schools and departments throughout the district. Together, they guide how we put our commitment to equitable learning for each and every student into action. Achievement and Integration Plan
Minnesota's Achievement and Integration (A&I) program is a state initiative designed to pursue racial and economic integration, increase student achievement, and reduce academic disparities in public schools.

Per Minnesota Statute 124D.861, the annual update is linked on the district website.
Language Access Plan
Our Language Access Plan outlines how Edina Public Schools provides meaningful communication and equal access to educational programs and services for students and families with limited English proficiency.

Under Minnesota Statute 123B.32, school districts are required to adopt and publicly post a language access plan.
Language Instruction Education Plan
The LIEP is legally required for districts with English Learners to develop students' language skills for grade-level academic success.

Minnesota Statutes 124D.61(2) requires districts to maintain a written service plan describing the amount and scope of programming students receive.
