• 2021 Superintendent Search

    The Edina School Board has contracted with School Exec Connect, a superintendent search firm, to assist with the search for the next superintendent of Edina Public Schools. The Board wants you to be informed of the process that will be followed and the opportunities stakeholders will have to offer input to assist in making the best selection possible. View the process timeline at right, and watch this page for updates.

    Feb. 21 - March 4: Superintendent Search Survey

    All district stakeholders are invited to provide input to assist in the superintendent search through the Superintendent Search Survey. The purpose of the input is to determine the challenges, strengths, and goals of our district, and what characteristics or skills you believe are important in a superintendent. Your participation in this process is important! Click the button to complete the survey. The survey closes Thursday, March 4.

  • March 1-3:  Focus Groups

    A total of 20 focus groups will be conducted. They are designed to be inclusive of all district voices, representing our diverse demographics, all school age levels and programs, students, parents, employees and community. Persons selected to participate in a focus group will receive an email invitation on Monday, Feb. 22. Participants for employee, parent and student focus groups were selected using a randomized process. Focus group discussions will be facilitated by employees from School Exec Connect.

    May Negotiation of Superintendent contract and School Board approval

    July 1 Superintendent assumes duties
