At Edina Public Schools, we take pride in providing an engaging and challenging academic experience for all Edina students. However, we know that to be successful in life our work with students must extended deeper than the classroom. Supporting our students through the phases of their development and education is also our work.
Maintaining emotional and mental health during the dynamic years of childhood and adolescence also requires learning. Students must learn to know themselves, how to make responsible, healthy decisions and how to grow in resilience. Families, too, are on a learning curve as their children move through the grades.
Every Edina school has mental health practitioners on staff. In addition, the district partners with community agencies to provide on-site mental health and counseling services during the school day. We are committed to supporting our students and their families to remove barriers to success and to promote mental health and wellness.
