  • Middle School

    Three girls work on a science project involving paper cups, tin foil and a paper bag. Middle School gifted programming focuses on competence and expertise within a discipline of study. Advanced, enriched and accelerated course work challenges students to advance academically by presenting higher level and more complex learning experiences. Teachers are supported by rigor coaches who help personalize the learning path for students.

    Gr. 6-8

    • Enrichment: STREAM/DREAM Project-based learning during daily flex time
    • Young Scholars Program - designed to identify and nurture gifted potential in elementary students from underrepresented populations.

    • Accelerated/Competency-based math progression: Pre-Algebra/Algebra
    • Compacted Science (compacted grade-level curriculum that extends learning at an accelerated pace)

    Gr. 7

    • Enriched Language Arts
    • Accelerated/Competency-based math progression: Algebra/Geometry
    • Enriched Social Studies
    • Compacted Science (compacted grade-level curriculum that extends learning at an accelerated pace)
