    At elementary grade levels, kindergarten through grade 5, all students are provided with opportunities to recognize and grow their strengths and receive supports to meet their challenges. At this early level of learning, classroom teachers and gifted educators look for potential areas of and use gifted education strategies to draw out student strengths and interests.

    • Differentiated learning opportunities are provided by the classroom teacher in grades K-5
    • Young Scholars Program is designed to identify and nurture gifted potential in elementary students from underrepresented populations in grade K-5
    • Advanced Academics Math Gr. 3-5 provides compacted grade-level curriculum along with advanced curriculum that extends learning at an accelerated pace.
    • Advanced Academics Reading Gr. 4-5 provides curriculum that extends learning in depth, breadth and complexity.
