All Edina families are invited to attend their neighborhood elementary school, which provides excellent education and personalized learning opportunities in a comfortable learning environment that is close to home. Locations: Concord, Cornelia, Countryside, Creek Valley and Highlands.
Students may enter Continuous Progress (CP) beginning in first grade. Students work in multi-age families and stay with a teacher for up to three years. It is possible to enter the program at any grade level. The program is located at both Countryside and Highlands Schools.
French Immersion is a districtwide option located at Normandale Elementary School that immerses students in the French language while they learn mathematics, science, reading, writing and other curricular areas. Because of the advancing skill level, entrance is most successful in kindergarten.
Note: Due to resident interest in Normandale French Immersion, it is unlikely that open enrolled families will be able to enroll in this option in kindergarten or first grade. In order to enroll in Normandale in grades 2-5 the student will need to pass a proficiency test in French.
