• 2019-20 Kindergarten Enrollment

    Children who are five years old on or before September 1 are eligible to begin kindergarten. If you use a pop-up blocker, please allow pop-ups prior to beginning registration.

  • Enrollment Checklist

    You will be asked to upload the following items (scans or photos) during the registration process.

    • Proof of Residency (Edina residents only)
      • What qualifies as proof of residency? See Section 3 of Board policy 509.
    • Immunization Records
    • Certified Birth Certificate, Passport/Visa or official US Court/Government document indicating child's full legal name & birthdate

    Step 1: Kindergarten Information Night

    Plan to attend Kindergarten Information Night to meet your neighborhood school's principal. If you are interested in the Continuous Progress or French Immersion choice programs, plan to attend each associated information night, as well.

    French Immersion

    Step 2: Program Preference Form Deadline

    Monday, Jan. 7, 2019, 6 p.m.

    District families who would like to enroll their child in the Continuous Progress or French Immersion program, must complete the Kindergarten Program Choice Form, which is mailed to families of in-coming kindergarteners in November. Return the form by Monday, Jan. 7, 2019 at 6 p.m. All preference forms received by the deadline will be given equal consideration. Completion of the preference form does not guarantee placement into the program.

    Preference forms will be processed by Friday, Jan. 11, 2019, after which families will be notified if their child has been accepted into one of the districtwide programs.

    Step 3: Online Registration

    Opens Jan. 14, 2019, 8 a.m. - Jan. 24, 2019, 3:30 p.m.
