2016 Budget Advisory Task Force
MembershipIn February 2016, the district invited students, parents, teachers, staff, administration and community members to apply for membership on the Budget Advisory Task Force. Membership requirements were: desire to be engaged in creating Next Generation learning opportunities; willingness to meet, learn, problem solve, innovate and champion the Next Generation of Edina Public Schools; ability to attend all BATF meetings. More than 50 people applied to be on the task force. Membership was selected based on creating a task force that reflects a cross-section of stakeholders.
The BATF is comprised of current students and parents, teachers and staff, community members, building and program administrators and district resource personnel including several members of the district’s senior leadership team. The task force was slated to meet three times and the public was invited to attend and observe, with possible engagement as appropriate.
