Meals are often provided when teams travel to a game right after school or over the dinner hour, again to give athletes access to healthy food prior to/after games.

    Game food can be provided for bus trips like bagels, fruit, granola bars drinks etc...  Or if food is provided at the field, court, rink….it might consist of something more substantial like pasta, bread, salad etc.

    In order to ensure that all parents are helping to provide practice/game food for the athletes and not just allowing a few parents to continually provide food all year long, the captain’s parents may fill out a calendar to pass out at the beginning of the season with all parents pre- assigned to the various days that food is needed.  If there is a conflict for the parents it is their responsibility to switch days or find someone to take their shift.
