Meet Your Teacher
I have been teaching kindergarten with Edina Public Schools since 1987. I have my Masters in Education - Early Childhood from the University of Minnesota and received National Board Certification in 2004. I have spent the last ten years doing additional graduate work in the area of language development and literacy, outdoor and environmental education, and this fall in teaching and technology.
I am a member of a number of professional organizations. Currently my interest involves work and collaboration in the Reggio Emilia Approach to Early Childhood Education.
As a staff member at Highlands Elementary, I have been involved in additional training in Cooperative Learning, Restitution, and the Racial Equity Social Justice Initiative all of which influence my classroom practices.
I live in the Morningside neighborhood with my family.
