    On Wednesday, July 19, the Edina Woodcrafters met for a social brunch to catch up and discuss their hopes for this fall’s woodshop courses. The event was hosted by Woodcrafters president Mark Wavinak.

    “What is the best basketball advice you have to share?” asked instructor of the Connell Basketball Camp, Tom Connell. Responses from the camp participants included “play as a team” and “have fun.” For the past eight years, Connell's camp has pushed athletes in grades fourth through ninth to do just that.

  • Camp Hopdina: A jump-start into kindergarten

    For the past two weeks, students from the Hopkins and Edina Public School systems have come together for the first ever Camp Hopdina. With the primary goal of preparing students for their upcoming adjustment into kindergarten, this literacy-based program offered an early start in developing the skills needed to be a successful at school.

    At Camp Entrepreneur: Millionaire in the Making, students are using their strategic mindsets and new business ideas to develop their own type of candy. From watermelon flavored gumdrops to giant skittles, these creative students are destined for entrepreneurship.
