  • EHS junior wins national speech championship

    Jun. 16, 2021 - Ananth Veluvali, junior at Edina High School, took first place at the National Catholic Forensic League championship in extemporaneous speaking. Ananth became the first Minnesota student to win the NCFL tournament in ten years, and the first Edina student to win a national title as a junior.

  • Staff engage in learning of nature-based education model

    Jun. 15, 2021 - Staff at Highlands and Countryside participated in a week-long teacher training with TimberNook, a nature-based education model of instruction that partners and aligns rigorous academic standards with the social emotional needs of the child in the natural environment.

  • EPS hires new technology director

    Jun. 8, 2021 - Edina Public Schools is pleased to announce the hiring of Natasha Monsaas-Daly as the district’s next Director of District Media and Technology Services (DMTS). She will fill the position vacated by Steve Buettner who is retiring from the district at the end of June.

  • Biology teacher named Educator of Distinction by NSHSS

    Jun. 7, 2021 - Ryan Longley, EHS biology teacher, was recently selected as a Claes Nobel Educator of Distinction by The National Society of High School Scholars (NSHSS). A role model to students, Longley was nominated by her former Edina student for outstanding dedication and commitment to excellence in the profession.
