Welcome to Valley View Middle School! From the minute you walk in our door, you will know that there is something very special about Valley View! Each day from 7:45-2:30 pm, Valley View is home to 1050 students in grades 6-8 and over 80 staff members. Our excellent, dedicated staff at Valley View works diligently to ensure student success. We use data extensively and employ responsive and personalized teaching practices and structures to ensure students are engaged and successful. Meeting the unique academic, social, and emotional needs of the middle level child are integral to the highly successful Valley View Middle School program.

Valley View students may choose from a variety of courses in core subject areas, vocal and instrumental music, World Languages, a partial French immersion program, and many enriched course offerings. Social and emotional needs of students are met in part through teacher teaming, student support services, and caring, nurturing staff. Our Connecting With Kids program is a partnership with the community that focuses on developing assets in youth.
Valley View has embraced personalized learning.  We believe that students who have voice and choice in their learning are engaged with their learning. Valley View has implemented WIN 2, a twice weekly option during Advisory that allows for "just in time enrichment and support."  Data metrics suggest that as students advance in grade level, their ability to make good choices for their learning increases, as evidenced by WIN 2 choices.
Valley View shines as an example of Edina's tradition of excellence.  We are passionate about learning and helping each student maximize their potential. For over 50 years, students, staff and parents have made Valley View the outstanding school that it is.  We look forward to the next 50 years serving our community with an education that is both excellent, engaging and inspiring.
