Arrival and DepartureStudents may enter the building and proceed to their classrooms when the first bus arrives.
Likewise, students who do not ride a bus should not arrive at school prior to the first bus, as we do not provide supervision. The drop-off area for the north end of the building is between doors 2 and 3. The drop-off area for the south end of the building (by door 7) is the small circle. This is the safest area for kindergarten drop-off. The large bus circle is for school buses only.
Students must be picked up at the end of the school day.
Children who need early/after school supervision may enroll in KIDS Club.
Students who arrive late for any reason (except a late bus or safety patrol duty) must have an adult sign them in at the door 1 vesitbule. Students should then proceed directly to their classroom. Parents are not allowed to walk their student to the classroom. If a student needs assistance, office staff is available.
For excused absences during the day, such as doctor and dental appointments, students should give a written note to their teachers stating the times they are to be excused.
- An adult must pick up and sign out children in the school office.
- Also, if a child is returning to school after an appointment, an adult must sign him/her in at the school office and obtain an admission slip before returning to class.
