    Getting Started

    To ensure you online registration is successful, please have the following ready prior starting.

    • A unique email address (username) for each student. Using the same address a second time will erase the first registration.
    • Student’s legal name
    • Student's six-digit ID number (on student ID badge)
    • Correct exam title: European, U.S., or World History? U.S. or Comparative Gov and Politics? Calc AB or Calc BC? Ask the teacher if unsure.
    • Teacher’s name for each exam selected
    • Credit or debit card. Payment is required at time of registration.

    Tentative Registration Dates and Fees

    Standard registration will most likely run Monday, February 5 through Monday, March 12, 2018 with cost TBD.

    Late registration begins Tuesday, March 13 and runs throught Monday, April 16, 2018. During this period a $50 late fee is applied to each exam.

    Students who do not register by the April 16 deadline may ask to be waitlisted by emailing apinfo@edinaschools.org 

    Reduced fees apply to students currently participating in the Federal Free & Reduced Lunch (FRL) program. If you are eligible but have not submitted the paperwork, you will need to do so in order to receive the reduced exam fees. To receive the discount, check “yes” to the question about Free & Reduced meal eligibility. The reduction appears at checkout. All FRL submissions are verified, so only select this option if you currently participate.

    Registration is not complete until payment has been made. We do not order exams that have an outstanding balance.

    Financial Aid

    Aid is available for families experiencing financial hardship but who are not eligible for Free/Reduced meals. Parents or guardians should email their aid request to apinfo@edinaschools.org by March 20. Include the following:

    • student name & ID number
    • number of exams
    • state the reason for the request

    Refunds

    Prior to March 12, a full refund will be given for cancelled AP exams. Beginning March 13, there are no refunds, so please register carefully. Try some practice exams!

    Services for Students with Disabilities (SSD)

    First-time applications for College Board testing accommodations are due February 16, 2018. Contact your EHS counselor or Bill Hicks for assistance. Even though College Board has streamlined the process, it may still take up to seven weeks for approval.

    When registering for AP exams, answer "Yes" to the "documented condition" question near the beginning of the registration process; if you have a College Board SSD number, enter that in the space provided.

    If You Registered Last Year ... 

    Students who registered for exams last year should use the same email username this year. In early February, a reminder will be sent to last year's email address. If you do not receive it, check unused email addresses and junk mail folders.

    AP testing dates and times are set by College Board; schools cannot alter these. Exams begin as soon as possible after 8:00 am or after 12:00 pm, but must begin within one hour of that time.
