A study of the district's Gifted and Talented Program was begun in early
2015 as a means to assess the current status of the program and to
design future program enhancements to meet the needs of our students.
The last formal study of Gifted and Talented programming was 10 years
ago, with a major refinement to elementary programming implemented five
years ago. This study is being done in conjunction with program studies
of the district's Secondary and Birth through Grade 5 Programming. The
concurrent work of these studies will allow for close alignment of all
of the district's educational programming. These studies are key
components of the ongoing implementation of the Next Generation of Edina
Public Schools Strategic Plan.
