        School Year SURGE 2016 - 2017

        Founded in 2001, SURGE is a nationally accredited after school and non-school day program for middle school youth. For the 2016 - 2017 school year, SURGE offers an increasing number of options and opportunities everyday: 
        • Media Center/Writing Center – a quiet environment to work on homework immediately after school.
        • Open Gym – supervised & structured activities in the gym.
        • Computer Lab – a dedicated computer lab for SURGE youth, with printer access.
        • Fitness Center – access to Fitness Center at both Valley View and South View
        • Art, Science, & Cooking Projects – a wide variety of exciting & challenging projects, planned and led by both staff and youth.
        • Service Projects – having fun and helping others.
        • After school field trips - to nearby parks, ice rinks, & restaurants.

        SURGE goes on a field trip on select non-school days throughout the year; field trips that SURGE have gone on in the past include Sky Zone trampoline park, Water Park of America, Science Museum, Green Acres Snow Tubing, Afton Alps, Brunswick Zone and many more. Please note, there is not a stay back option on field trip days.
